christmas is supposed to be this great spirit of giving and joy, but it ends up just having so much expectation and stres attached to it. You end up feeling like if you can't afford gifts for people then you somehow let them down. It's soooo very commercialized and fake. Most people don't celebrate the christian aspect of it beyond the obligatory "nativity scene" they put up somewhere in their house....
