And the nightmare continues...
I'm still staying in room 338 of the Country Hearth Inn in Spartanburg (with its mighty 28.8 kbps internet connection) since I'm caught in the ultimate Catch-22: I can't leave until I save up enough money to put down on another place. But since I haven't gotten many hours at work lately, this place has been eating up all my excess income, meaning I haven't been able to save anything....so I can't leave.
Or rather, I wouldn't, had I not been robbed last night.
That's right...when I went to bed Thursday night, I put my wallet on the dresser like I always do. In it was $150, which I had to somehow manage to stretch to cover my rent, food, and gas for the next two weeks. When I got up Friday morning, my wallet was under Jason's bed...with no money in it.
Now, I don't think Jason would have been stupid enough to have robbed me. I'm his ride to work and school, he can't afford this place without me, and he should know he'd be the prime suspect since he and I are the only ones with the key to this room.
But I suspect he knows who did it. When he came in early Friday morning, I didn't bother to roll over to see if he had anyone with him. But someone had to have given him a ride...
When he gets back (he's in Columbia today)...he and I are going to have a little talk.
As if I didn't have enough to worry about already...I owe the bank close to $450, I owe Verizon a bit over $100, I'll owe the hotel $94.66 if I'm going to stay next week, I owe AOL $9.95....hell, even SuicideGirls sent me an e-mail today saying my payment can't be processed.
So if I disappear for a little while, don't worry....I'll be back. It may just take me a little while.
