Since everyone else seems to be updating their journals today and since I'm the consummate "joiner," here's your obligatory first update of the year.
Happy New Year, everyone! May 2005 be the year that all your dreams finally come true.
Any interesting resolutions? My list for this year...
--To quit smoking. For real, this time!
--To find a decent-paying job in Spartanburg. Go ahead and laugh! I still believe such a thing actually exists. Somewhere. I just need to keep looking...
--To keep my GPA above a 3.0. (Do you have any idea how great it feels to be able to say this year that I resolve to keep it above a 3.0??)
--To pass the LSAT.
--To start hitting the gym again. Which I may actually do this year, since I live on campus and have free access to the gym there.
--To return some vague sense of normalcy to the mess that is my social life.
And finally...
--To make Yuliya happy. No matter what that may take.

I just finished reading your journal entries that I missed. I'm sure everything will work itself out. Love conquers all in the end, right? You just have to go through a lot to get there. But Yuliya is very lucky to have you. It must be hard for her parents to let go; she sounds sweet. Plus, I'll tell you from a personal perspective, it's hard to grow up in one culture then have to adapt to American culture/standards of love, marriage etc. Maybe that's why her parents are having issues.
Have a wonderful beginning to 2005!!! And I hope you quit smoking. People like you need to be around for a long time dammit!!!!!
