Yes, ladies and gentlemen, it's finally over. The "city" of Barnwell and everyone and everything associated with it can officially kiss my ass, because as of tomorrow I'll be kickin' it Sparkletown-style.
And not a minute too soon, I might add.
And I FINALLY had what I could consider a good day at work today, too. I basically goofed off all day, wandering the store singing whatever felt appropriate, from "Take this job and shove it" to "You'd better kiss me, 'cuz you're going to miss me when I'm gone" to "I'm leaving, on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again" to off-the-top-of-my-head parodies like the one above. And anytime someone (especially my boss) asked me for something, I'd dismiss them with a "What are you going to do, FIRE ME? HA HA HA HA HA!"
Say what you want to, though....dang it, I EARNED it. Thirteen months. Thirteen months, working 54 hours a week in a stressful, pointless, dead-end, utterly unappreciated position, all for a lousy $275 paycheck? I've been jumping through hoops for everyone else for the last thirteen months, and I'd say I earned one day of asshole privileges here at the end of my tenure.
I honestly feel like a man who's just been let out of prison. I'm free from parental oppression. I'm free from my shitty job. I'm free from the redneck hellhole that is Barnwell! I'm going to a new city with new people and new challenges, and back to doing what I do best: studying politics.
Oh, and in another news: everyone say hey to the newest SuicideGirl (as of yesterday, anyways) and fellow iguana lover, the incredibly awesome Love! I don't know what it is about her: her intelligence, her attitude, her great taste, or just the fact that she's hot enough to melt concrete. (My vote? All of the above.) But....what can I say? She lives up to her name.
Now, why can't I meet anyone like her around HERE, dammit?

I guess I am "tanner" as you put it....I went to Ocean City, Maryland about two weeks ago and spent 3/4 of my time either outside in the sun or inside listening to a band of some sort (since I'm officially legal now!! oh yay!!)
I will definitely talk with you later - right now I have about a billion things to do before school starts next week! and then I will have even less time to do anything!
