I played hooky this morning. I still have to work Job B but seeing as I never get a 2-day weekend, taking Monday morning of compensates nicely for that shortfall in my schedule. I can't wait for our mini trip to PA in just UNDER two weeks. I need a vacation BADLY.
You know, one of these days I swear I'm going to learn how to wrangle these emotions so they stop getting run through a fucking Cuisinart every damned time I let them out of their cage but apparently that day is not today. Sometimes it's a real burden being me...

For real. I started out with the best of intentions. I was going to go out to a couple friends' gig and toss back a couple shots of Patron but between having to go to both jobs today, then getting pulled over (not ticketed, but still...being talked down to by a cop really pisses me off) and just being in an overall bad mood I couldn't muster up the energy to WANT to go out. I WILL make it up to myself, though. Things have a much clearer perspective after 8 hours' downtime.
WHOOOSH! There goes another week. Work tonight, work in the AM then the weekend begins. Looking forward to seeing "Super 8" and spending some time with friends.

Gonna play some Third Eye Blind, some Wallflowers, Eagle Eye Cherry and whatever else floats my boat I love open mic nights. They're so laid back and expectations are never high. That makes it that much more fun when you're actually pretty good and people notice. I love touching people with my music. It's a very powerful medium.
