Sometimes the days just go by and you ask yourself, "What did I do today...and why did I do it?" That is kind of what I have been feeling the last day or so. It is dumb to think about what could have been or should have been. Because if it didn't happen none of it was meant to be. Me nor you, or anyone else for that matter could have changed the events. If you haven't figured it out yet, this is my "reflect on history that I regret" post.
I will try to stop now.
Naw.
Here I go again.
When I see friends go through the same situations as I did and that includes the mistakes as well. I just want to reach out and tell them, "NO DON'T DO THAT!!!" I have done it before, but it just turns into drama. Then later on it looks like I was just trying to jump out and prove that I was right the whole time. That is instead of me trying prevent heartache or hurt because I had already been down that road. You just can't save someone who doesn't want to be saved. Those who want to live and swim in misery will always have the deepest of seas of misery. Attention is the only thing I can see why someone would want to live their life they way they have. If you are that desperate for attention you should just order a bride from some country. She will give you everything you want. Well at least until she becomes a citizen that is.
I like my life and really truly enjoy it. I have good friends and a great family. If there is one thing I have learned it is you can't pick and choose your family, but you can your friends. Sounds shallow? Nope...I don't think so. I don't have a lot of friends because I don't enjoy the early twenties drama that is associated with them. My little group that I have are all good people and would do for me what I would do for them. Anything. Sure there a few that have their "issues", but what can you do right?
OK......thought this was going to be a short post.
HFStival was great. Just sat in the stands under the box seats in the shade the whole time. That also meant that when it started to rain we were dry! My cousin enjoyed herself and I was very happy. The bands that I liked: Garbage (Incredible....that is all I can say. They still have it and the new songs are really great), New York Dolls (Probably the only time I will be able to see them live in my life. Awesome. Everything I expected and more!!), Social D (What can I say. Love them. They played like they were the headliners.....what else would you think Mike Ness would do?), Billy Idol (I know....but for fifty years old this guy really rocks!), Echo and the Bunnymen(wished they would have finished a song. The singer had a voice problem and couldn't sing. He was frustrated and so was I.), Foo Fighters (Never really got into them, but wow what a great live performance. Dave is really a rocker and I can see why he is liked by so many)
Now for the idiots. Good Charlotte (SUCKED. Didn't like before because they were posers and hate even more now. You had other performers watching all the bands behind the scenes. You could see them, but with this band no one was watching them. That tells you something. Also it tells you that when they come out with a Rancid shirt on.....posers!!!), Sum 41 (Well sucked too.....posers).
Sorry about the bad comments. Just had to get them out into the open.
So bought a few new cd's last night. Found out about this thing the hootenanny. It looks fun and would really like to go.
Less Nesman is cool.
