I need some advice, Gentle Readers.

My best friend and former roommate, Chckpotpie, asked me to move in with her. I'm listing out the pros and the cons.

Pro:
She's my best friend. I love her. She always has my back. Me being as depressed as I am, it'd be good to live with someone who knows me so well and knows just what I...

Pfft, if he's still playing Halo 2, he needs to get with the program. Kick out that loser. wink (Actually, Halo 3 is just...OK, not the greatest game ever or anything...)

I know you love your best friend, but I think you should stay where you are. Change is good, but I don't think this change would be one of those really awesome, necessary changes. If you're looking for one of those changes, move to SF. biggrin

you didn't see me bend over.

Sadly, I think this may be the highlight of my week:

Although, "The Jerk" is on Comedy Central right now.

OK so, the coworker thing (along with all the wonderful advice) got me thinking. I do have learning to do. I talked to my supervisor and he said he's not sure what he should teach me because it's all really just little things. After asking...

Yeah, dealing with family can be quite nerveracking. I love Halloween my own self and it's been slipping away, cause I've been so stressed out. I think you're doing the right thing with your brother. Honesty and practicality is better than going along with a situation that's making you crazy and likely will make you feel twice as worse if you let it.
baudot:
Oh, another orgy?
Ho hum.

I'm frustrated. So terribly frustrated. I'm vacillating between giving up and gritting my teeth and having one of those movie moments where the main character works out/studies/general betters himself to attain his goal.

The last week or so at work has been really stressful for everyone. Last week we had a 48-page special section to put together; it spilled over into this week. Last week...

Apologies. wink Though I'll have you know I was only at about a 3 on my personal film geekery scale.

Today started off like shit. I couldn't sleep last night. I ended up crying myself to sleep because when I'm just lying there all the bad thoughts creep in to my head.

I had to be at work early (I wanted to be in at 10:30 a.m. and before you say, "But GS, that ain't early," let me explain. I usually go in at like...

Ganked from somewhere I would rather not mention:

These are the top 106 books most often marked as "unread" by LibraryThing's users. As usual, bold what you have read, italicise what you started but couldn't finish, and strike through what you couldn't stand. The numbers after each one are the number of LT users who used the tag of that book. i am adding another...

I thought the first third of it or so was one of the most fascinating things I'd ever read. I had to really struggle to actually finish the damn thing though.

I'll be honest, I'm not much for those types of books (I prefer novels), but I was impressed. What did you think?

(Also, I forgot to add The Kite Runner to my list.)
subrosa:
I shall look into it. I mean, I prefer novels, but I like those types of books too. They make me feel informed.

Or something.

This song always speaks volumes to me.

I have to block out thoughts of you, so I don't lose my head
They crawl in like a cockroach leaving babies in my bed
Dropping little reels of tape to remind me that I'm alone
Playing movies in my head that make a porno feel like home
There's a burning in my pride, a nervous bleeding in...

I don't know that song [what? I'm getting old] I've always preferred Morphone's In Spite of Me in these situations. feel better.

Thank you the brunch was very good. We had a good time. It was really great to meet you.

Fuck. I've been awake for almost two hours. What is with waking up in the middle of the night? I know I'm lonely. I miss having someone curled up with me in bed. OK, I miss a specific someone (RS) but I slept great last night. So what's the deal? Grrr.

At least I'm catching up on my MTV.

the guy that was orienting me to the phones was talking about his strange taste in music, and we were both talking about not fitting in. then i told him about all the great people we met in california... he was sayin that he has a hard time making friends and it was cool that we could meet so many people we get along with. and that when i said "well hey i can tell you since you probably wont think its too weird how i met the people" he said no not weird at all... very cool...

I totally felt like I kicked ass at work last night. I'm not sure why as my partner kept changing things (which honestly is getting a little annoying to the point I want to yell, "Fine you design the whole damn paper!), but it's a nice feeling to know that I can figure just about anything out and come up with a solution.

I also...

I'm feeling down tonight, but not like super depressed. Normally watching "Scrubs" makes everything better but seeing Elliot and JD's shenanigans makes me want that. But I don't want that.

I just want my RS. And yet, I don't.

I just feel like I'm ready to have my life partner (not ready for marriage). Ya know when you see that couple who just looks like...

Well, down must be progress from super depressed. Congratulations on making this station of the cross (the one wheere your eyes can only see 'perfect' couples). Lean on your friends for now.

What's worse than waking up at a quarter after five in the morning? realizing you've had the pokemon theme song stuck in your head for the last hour.

I've been up for almost two hours. Not a big deal to people with normal jobs, but for me this is the middle of the night. I went to bed at 2:30 ish so that means I've...

Oh, girl. (Hug)
Im not gonna pretend to understand the female mind. I cant tell you any solutions to this problem, but I can listen and I can tell you alot of people care for you on here. Keep your head up and this will pass in time.

You are more valuable then you may think. When you decide to give guys a chance again, I think you will come to figure out after some duds that there is another meant for you.

Hope that helped in some way.
moonrabbit:
I figured you might be able to appreciate the 'Daily news' format more than anybody, and Stupid Girl Dumb-Face really is an awesome member of my news team.

Me, I've never even been in love. It makes me feel cheap for listening to romantic songs about past romances, because it really doesn't apply to me.
Girls are just as bad about not giving closure. And for christ sake, why not let me buy you dinner!? Grrr.

*Hug* When you're re-incarnated, come back as a whiptale lizard, they don't need smelly boys.
Me? I'll probably come back as a lesbian manta ray.
