Nights like tonight I just want to pull away, build up that wall and keep everyone out. I just feel like no matter how hard I try things aren't going to work. I just feel ready to find my partner and he doesn't seem to exist.
But even if all the human men in my life fail me, I have at least one who runs to the door to greet me, comes to bed with me every night, wants to be close to me, even if I smell bad, and will work really hard to make me laugh. I'll take a good laugh over flowers any day.
It's hard to be upset with the world when he looks at me with those beautiful yellow and green eyes of his. That round fuzzy face just melts my heart every time.
