What a busy fucking week.
I worked eight days straight, most of which were doubles. I started my new job at the Tribune. I like it, but need some time to get the hang of how they put their paper together.
One of my coworkers got into a pretty bad car accident. She's OK, just really banged up. Although, her mom did say the car looks like an accordion.
Friday I met up with RS and my aunt (who introduced us btw) at a bar in Redondo. It was their unofficial Holiday Party.
I know this is blurry, but I really like our expressions.
My aunt and I:
My aunt and a coworker:
Overall, I had a good time, although we were the youngest people there by a couple decades, with the exception of one woman who was getting a lot of attention from a guy. Any who, I got really tired of hearing how smart RS is. I know how smart he is. It's not like we don't ever talk. Cest la vie (I don't spell French well.)
Saturday, Chckpotpie, her girlfriend, RS and I headed down to El Centro for a friend's wedding. She happens to be Girlfriend No. 2. Her new husband had better treat her well.
She looked amazing in her dress. It was this wrap around style with a corset tie up in the back.
The cutest part of the wedding was when the priest asked the couple if they would have each other forever (or something like that). He says, "I do." and she busts out this drugged out/"I'm so in love"/"Fuck I wasn't paying attention should I say yes?" "yeah" noise. It was classic.
She's half mexican and half greek so her family did a traditional Greek dance. I wish I knew how to do that.
Chckpotpie, Bride and I:
I had a good time, despite my back spasming the entire ceremony and reception. I got RS to dance with me for a few songs. He was a good boy and drew me a bath after we got back to the hotel then sat on the floor and talked with me while I soaked.
Sunday we drove home. I meant to go to the SGLA Gift Exchange, but ended up taking a two-hour nap instead.
RS and I did go to Jeremy's birthday shin dig. We had a good time.
Koleeta and Jeremy (and unravlds dog Nimh):
We even had a visit from a crime fighting duo. I don't remember their name, but I think it was something like Black and White. Mreh.
But with every super hero, comes a super villan.
Meet Capt. Grumpy:
Oh wait ... here's a better entrance:
Although even Capt. Grumpy needs to relax after a hard day of evil doing:
We left that party then went to the restaurant's Christmas party.
There was lots of dancing.
Kiley (my super gay friend who I think might be in love with me) and Yolie (both are servers):
Sonia (hostess) and her not-boyfriend (whom I don't really like):
I've definitely been busy and it's not going to slow down any time soon. With Christmas coming up, I still have to do most of my shopping. Thankfully, RS picked up my mom and sister's presents yesterday. So I just need to finish him up, get something for my dad and do my dad's shopping because he doesn't have access to stores like I do.
OK, off to work another fucking double. My trip to Hawaii can't come soon enough!
