Getting that first date is tough enough... not fucking up and acting like a complete goober for the duration of dinner is damn near impossible.

When I detach a bit and watch myself in action, I wonder how on earth I made it so far as to be in two fairly long and involved relationships over the years...

I'm not built for this... tongue

Thank you! My friend straightened my hair, so I wanted a picture.

Are you going on a date?
queeniex:
Hahaha oh, man! Why what happened?! What did you do?! My ex housemate has decided he wants to date my new housemate Gaz..only trouble is G is straight and has a girlfriend. That's not stopping my guy though...at 2 this afternoon he was in sufficient mashup to send me asking him if 'he'd like to come over so i can spray him with whipped cream and bounce up and down on his cock while slapping his chest.' I said no, standards. That boy is out of control! Was it that bad? If not, pat on back!

The Charlie's the ex, the new crush , the cokie who's missus is my ex enemy is Sam. Which one? I mean ,probably both is sensible! x

Ahhhhhhhh, yes...
Time, once again, to dink with the SG layout/navigation.. I was beginning to think they'd make it to the new year without futzing around with it. Silly f'n me.

At least the changes aren't too foreign... yet.

ferretbite:
It's very much like Facebook isn't it?
dmac:
Having been around since 2005, I've endured at least half a dozen format changes and I'm always pissed at the get go. However, I always seem to adapt so I'm hoping that trend will continue. I don't do Facebook but it seems like SG is chasing that type of format based on comments I've read. I had a Facebook page for about 2 weeks and it was so insipid that I closed it up and left for good. Just a bunch of grown ups throwing things at one another and sending each other stupid surveys about movies and shit. puke If I'm going to spend time with people on line, I'd much prefer something a little more stimulating. Yup, I'm pretty much an SG lifer so I think I'll just wait it out and get used to the new "features". Frustrating, but inevitable. surreal

This may turn into a 2 (or more) part blog. It all depends on how energetic I feel once I get going. It's been a long week and a busy weekend. I'm ready to crash and burn. But not before I give you a bit of an update... it's been too long.

Ahh, Portland weather, indeed. I was out at drum corp practice tonight and was realizing that, were it not for the physicality of playing, I'd probably be freezing my keyster off! The sunsets have been beautiful but it's kind of a bummer waking up without much daylight. Two hundred gray days....... *sigh* I'm not sure I'm ready. surreal

By the way, if it's Rockstar (the energy drink) you miss, the diet version isn't so bad. I'm pretty addicted to them, actually. blush

lolablu:
Yup. The Force is not strong in them.

My blog... she is neglected.

And that's how she'll stay for a little while longer... tongue

There's just too much to tell right now. Gotta sort it all out in my head first before I bore anyone else with it.

Of course I'll carve out time for you.

Feel free to bore away...I rebounded and realised it was a shame I hadn't chatted to you more, so bore away, i'm a thick tree so to speak!

Again, thanks to dmac for asking the questions that led to this blog.

Here we go...

1. Does the fact that you've never done something before increase or decrease its appeal to you?

That depends. If we're talking about a recreational activity that is bound to be fun and exhilarating, then the appeal is increased. I had never been white water rafting until a few...

One thumb only. It's a valiant effort to go back to what made them great but the infection is way too big, you can still hear Load and Reload and even St. Anger in their music. It's true that when you put black and white together and you get grey, you can never break them apart again.

The cartoonist is called Trino Camacho. He's local, and mostly apolitical, so his work is probably not very well known outside of Mexico.

ohhh Thanks you so much!! I've just read your so pretty comment on my first set <3 Sorry if I don't read and answer it before. Thanks for your support!

Well... time for answers.

Last blog, I asked for questions to get my brain moving. I didn't get too many responses to that. Only one, actually. dmac not only asked a question, she picked up the slack for at least one other person by asking two questions... two good ones at that...

1. If given the choice between the super power of flight or invisibility,...

Yeah, the midwest work ethic is a bitch. There does seem to be something of a generational perspective on this. Many, MANY of the 20-somethings in my office are proud to admit their laziness and their commitment to doing as little as possible to get by. They are also, incidentally, the biggest whiners when they don't get fantastic raises and can't understand why they're not being better paid. whatever Drive me crazy.....

Okay, next batch of questions biggrin

Does the fact that you've never done something before increase or decrease its appeal to you?

How do you react when people sing "Happy Birthday" to you in a restaurant?

If you could choose the manner of your death, how would you exit this life?

Ready? Set? GO!

What do you want to know?

Ask me questions, people. I feel the need to blog something, but I have no topics at hand. Or maybe it's too many things swirling around my little walnut brain to focus on any one thing? Not sure...

Focus my thoughts. Ask me anything... help me get the words flowing.

Who wants to buy me a bottle of Johnnie...

I think it's all over the place, but it doesn't suck as bad as the other one they released "Cyanide". That one's just disgraceful.

I bought it on iTunes and I'm a little disappointed, it just feels like I've heard it before, like they took a bunch of songs and put them in a blender.

The verdict?

It reached 101 degrees in Portland today... fuck...me... it was hot.

It's still hot.

It's gonna be hot the rest of the freakin' night.

That's the bitch of Portland. Summer is never really bad enough to really warrant A/C... all except for a week in the beginning and a week in the end. Those are the times you wish you had it, but you...
