Happy Halloweinie!

I am in love with this cropped photo of my mouth. This Frank fellow finally came through with promised CD from our photo session and for the first time in many a moon I am enthused about my pics and my site and its possible future.

Trick or Treaters in my neighborhood are incapable of reading signs it would seem. I can't count...

In honor of Bowling for Columbine I changed my profile pic today. (Now it's different. Here is the photo of me, myfriend Brian and Michael Moore at Boston's Borders.) Just saw the movie on Monday. Go!
fuzzybunny:
Why yes, I like your style, wink
fuzzybunny:
Ah, evil, I totally relate to what you are saying about movies. I find, however, if I see independent or foreign films the audiences are almost always respectful. I will NOT see a blockbuster in a movie theatre for any amount of money because of audiences. I think I spent more time shushing morons at "Batman Returns" than I spent watching it. Just awful. I can't understand why anyone would pay to watch a movie then just fucking chat. Save the dough and go to Wendy's and eat a Biggie meal and chat all afternoon, for crying out loud!

The book in the photo was Adentures in TV Nation, a paperback chronicalling the short lived series and describing some of the episodes. I bought it along with Stupid White Men and got Mr. Moore to sign both when he was at Border's this past spring. What a wonderful man!

I hope you will change your mind and see the movie in a theatre. It was actually empowering to watch it with other people and see how it affected them. I guarantee you no numbskulls will be there yakking in the middle of it. I can't guarantee someone won't be chomping popcorn with an open mouth. That is the subject of another rant, I am afraid... (Still, I don't understand why people don't just close their mouths when eating popcorn. Close the mouth, the noise almost always stops, unless they breathe heavily through their noses.)

And RIP Senator Paul Wellstone and family. I can't begin to describe how much admiration I had for this man, but it bordered on crush time (I am a sucker, always have been, for Jewish men of Russian descent, re: my current beau, for instance). What a fucking tragedy for the country and for humankind in general. One of the great ones is gone, leaving...

These Second Amendment fetishists crack me up, they really do.

The other day I was listening to an informative piece on NPR about Ballistics Fingerprinting (a term ballistic scientists loathe, btw) and the idea of establishing a national database of such "fingerprints," which are really very unique, much like actual fingertips and DNA. Naturally a caller from FL phoned in his objection which basically boiled...

I am... an aging enfant terrible, still goofy, medium build, often lazy and often depressive, but often optimistic and enthusiastic, in a state of change and unclear where I'll end up, but thinking there isn't much time left.

i am into.... reading novels, drinking nice beer and red wine, eating delicious foods (my number one love I think is food), travel especially to the UK,...

Do you reaaaaaaaly have a Nimbus2000? Reviews are a riot:

"My 12 year old daughter is a big Harry Potter fan, and loved the part with the Nimbus 2000, so I decided to buy her this toy. I was afraid she would think it was too babyish, but she LOVES this toy. Even my daughter's friends enjoy playing with this fun toy. I was surprised at how long they can just sit in her room and play with this magic broomstick! A great buy for any Harry Potter fan! smile "

wink

Okay then.. I'm off.. to add my veeeeeery first friend! smile

xoxoxo!
fuzzybunny:
Lol!!! I loved the reviews of that Nimbus 2000! Every woman I talked to said she'd have killed for one as a little girl. The growl though is really off-putting, but I am still glad I bought it. I still can't believe this toy ever made it past the focus groups, what a riot!!

I posted some photos on Voyeur Web at http://ww3.voyeurweb.com/main/Prd36b/PS62864aauNT/index.html and they've been well received, with the exception of a couple folks who expect nudity and don't understand latex.

Anyway, if you're curious what the whole dress looks like, or what a Mission Hill kitchen actually looks like, take a look, cast a vote, leave a comment. ;-)

Wish I could get mtv2, I'd love to...

I was so shocked and saddened to learn of Katrin Cartlidge's sudden death. She truly was a talented actress. I adored her in Naked, Breaking the Waves, Career Girls, From Hell.

It seems so odd that of the Mike Leigh corps of actors, she would be the one to die. I remember reading 3 years ago about Timothy Spall's battle with leukemia, and yet, thankfully,...

remotely to you from NYC.

things here are fine. what a weird anniversary. seeing the numbers 9/11 again and again... now seeing them for real... weird.

i'm doubtful anything as huge as last years events will happen. but it's goong to happen again sometime. the attacks from last year were a raising of the bar for terrorism.

i'm bummed to be away from my family. will check in with them all day. that is if i can get a cell. (everybody is on their phones!)

relax. enjoy the breaths you take. life is wonderful. (if not for the invention of Skyy vodka... there is plenty of other fun things!)

If you like the Fall, you should like a Boston band called the In Out. A recent show review is at http://www.cardhouse.com/heath/2002_09_08_archive.html#85446356

How weird. My birthdate got reset and I was 32 for a couple of hours in my profile. Anyone else had that happen?

Dammit, it's still defaulting to 12/31/1969. I don't lie about my age!!!! This is annoying me very much.

____________
What also sucks a lot about this glitch is I won't be a prominently featured birthday woman, come September 28th, grrrrrr.

I better...

Surely very few people have received 870 identical emails from the same spammer? Am I just blessed? Yesterday my junk mail box contained 870 emails from the same sleazy pond scum spammer, something about getting my FBI files.

The same day another email account received 170 identical emails about a rape sex/beastiality site.

Am I sensing a trend, or has...
