ok..so heres my first blog...

i woke up this morning kinda early, i was too excited today to get my first bass lesson from my friend dave. i think it went well, i mean i have lots of practicing to do...since ive never played an instrument before. well other than the recorder which was mandatory in the 5th grade. For some reason i dont think that counts for much. haha!! In a way i dont think dave really knew how much work he has to do with me. He said i did really well and i picked up the spider lesson/exercise pretty quick. I just need to work on keeping my thumb straight and walking my fingers up and down the strings. we have our next lesson next tuesday at 11am. im stoked, but i gotta keep practicing i have to have that shit down by next tuesday. damn my finger tips hurt!! i guess i can kiss my fingertips goodbye...the callouses will be moving in. ugh!!

oh yeah and i bought my first bass today...woohooo!!! shes a beauty its a Fender Jazz bass, red and white with rosewood...i love it!! now i have to go out and buy a practice amp, a tuner, and manuscropt books. this is too exciting, finally i can shop for music gear for myself.
