Looky another Sunday update. This is because my weeks are very dull and my weekends very exciting.
Friday - Celebrtated my sisters 21st with that ultimate of 70s cliches - a fondue. I had forgotten what a god way of getting very drunk they are. Much red wine was drunk and we had arguments over Trivial Pursuit. Or Trivial Dispute as it should be known. Absolutely ace.
Saturday - Spent most of the day taking people money while sat on the door at the Freebutt. Got to see the Brakes and the Tenderfoot though so it was fun. AND freebie drinks because I was doing everyone a favour.
At the end of the evening rumours spread of a party. How was I suppossed to resist after spending the whole day being good and responsible?
So up the hill we trapse (everywhere in Brighton is uphill) in the pouring rain. We arrive at the Metway Studio where there appears to be some sort of password needed. Fortunately someone from our group is recognised and we all get in.
And what a party. I have no idea for whose benefit it was organised but someone put in a load of effort. There were nets festooned with paper snowflakes hanging from the ceiling. The walls were lined in foil and there were streamers of foil hanging from the ceilinag as well. The whole place looked fantastic. I have done no justice to it at all, I wish I'd had my camera.
The people to had made an effort and some of the best costumes this side of the West End were on display. I felt completely underdressed in my scruffy attire.
I made up for my feeling of inadequency with some more of my funky dance moves. When the dj is playing some of the cheesiest tunes ever released its rude not to isn't it?
And today I woke up at 2:30 and this still felt too early. I am completely knackered. Knackered but happy.
