I have been completely convinced that I need to go Interrailing around Europe next year. Spent last night with a friend who has done it and she said it was the best experience of her life.
She completely dismissed all my fears and perusaded me that I wouldn't get beaten up and left for dead in a foreign city. Don't know why I thought that as I have been to plenty of European cities and its not happened yet.
Only bummer is that I can't get as far as Moscow as the ticket only covers as far east as Poland.
Not to disappointed though as apparently it does cover that well known European country - Morrocco. Sounds like the perfect place to start.
The rest of this year has to be spent saving now though so much depradation will be called for. I must keep the end goal in site and I will be fine.
It was a really good night in fact considering I only went out for a quiet pint. It was so nice to see my friend back to her old self.
She had recently split up with her longterm boyfreind and she is so much happier and more confident now then she has been for over a year. She has finally stopped worrying about the past and started talking about the future. Proof, if any were needed that making a decision and sticking to it is good for the soul.
Only difficulty is stopping her bitching about her ex because he doesn't deserve it.
Oh and United lost Cost me a fiver but I don't care.
