I saw Electrelanes last ever gig last night. They have been one of the most inventive and consistent bands in Britain for a very long time and I will miss them a lot, especially as growing up in the same town as them I never really took them seriously until quite late. However once I finally worked out how wrong I was I made sure I saw them at every opportunity and on the whole I am glad they have gone out at the top of their game.
Plus Mia Clarke is der sexy
And today I nearly froze to death as our pitch was one of only a few playable, probably in the whole bloody country. Rain, wind, cold. I am just surprised it didn't snow to complete the set. I did the same thing yesterday but the weather wasn't quite as bad. 180 minutes of football over the weekend in mud straight out of the trenches and now I am completely knackered. The mud was so bad by the end of the game today that if you stood still in the centre circle for long enough you started to sink. For some reason though it was still fun.

Aldershot do need a better chant though. Standing there chanting "Aldershot, Aldershot" really doesn't cut it.
