From somewhere real life has invaded my time and demanded I spend lots of time talking to actual people in person, not virtual people via the internet. It's all a bit weird and unexpected and I'm kind of missing all time I used to be able to waste on the internet. This being busy thing is all a bit unexpected.
Anyway the new social, outgoing me went out on Friday with some peeps from college. Not too long ago it would take me ages to get to know someone before I went on a night out with them but no longer it seems. This is definitely an improvement and I'm going to try and keep it up as it beats being a recluse.
There is no doubt in my mind that I would not have become as outgoing without this site and especially SGUK. When I look back on how nervous I was before going to my first meet back in March I can't really believe it. It took an awful lot of courage that day but I don't think the person I am now would have anywhere near the same number of doubts. If all I get out of 2007 - and I don't for a moment think it will be - is to come out of my shell and leave it behind completely it will be a brilliant year.
The hangover from the night out was truly appalling though so it seems the new personality has not been joined with a whole new body. Bugger.
I got my first piece of marked college work back on Friday and its at level 3 which is what I need to pass. It's nice to know I can attain the level of work needed as I was pretty nervous that I wouldn't be able to produce good enough work. Now that I know that I can all I need to do is maintain it for a year. Shouldn't be too difficult
