I have been drinking far too much recently, I don't think I have had a day without booze since a week ago on Wednesday. This week needs to be a detox one. Hopefully work won't get so bad a drink becomes essential survival gear.

Work should be fun though as our two person team is down to a one person as my colleague is on holiday. So despite the fact that we are barely coping with two people I will now be expected to do it all myself. Having seen the pile of work that was awaiting my return from a few days off I am not looking forward to it.

Last night was the family barbecue, a tradition that seemed to have disappeared in recent years. I hope we can do it again next year as it was good fun with some serious drinking. The British weather couldn't stop us no matter how hard it rained.

Now though I am prepared to sleep. I have been to football training and done plenty of partying so I've earned it. I really need to make a mix tape I promised a friend ages ago but I am not sure I have the energy.
