I went to my see my GP about my ribs today. He ws nice and helpful, he even gave me a nice list of facts about rib injuries.
1) Mine is bruised not broken. (Good I thought)
2) Rib injuries hurt a lot more then you think they are going to (I know this, I didn't need a doctor to tell me it as I have a rib injury and it hurts like a bastard)
3) Rib injuries, regardless of wheteher they are broken or bruised, hurt for a lot longer then you think they are going to and sometimes you don't notice them for a little while then a certain action makes it flare up again (oh good, long term pain and not just long term but also occasional suprise pain)
4)Theres nothing they can do and I just have to wait till it it gets better (well thanks, apart from the afternoon of work what have I got from seeing a doctor?)
Well at least it's no worse then a bruised rib and it will get better. No contact sport for 4-6 weeks though so that's th end of my football season
No time of work either but I didn't really expect any of that so no great harm. So if you are in Brighton and you hear a scream of pain for no apparent reason it may be over exerting myself by doing some sort of strenuous activity, like opening a door. Opening a door has become something I dread over the past 2 weeks, it hurts so much.
Anyway the sea is doing its worst to my window so I'm going to lie in bed and listen to the storm. Very little beter then lieing in bed wrapped up warm listening to a good storm. All i need to do is find a comfortable oistion to lie in. Easier said then done right now.
