My cat is currently the most miserable creature on Gods green earth. He has ingrowing whiskers around his eyes and every few years we have to take him to the vet to have him sorted out so now he's got stitches in and looks like a panda. The main reason he is pissed off though is that he has a cone on his head to...

I got to meet my class tonight and they all seemed really nice, I reckon this year is going to be a lot of fun.
One of my Sunday team team-mates managed to pull the hamstring in his left leg and the fracture his right ankle when he put all his weight on one leg. Poor guy can't walk at the moment even with crutches....

i hope college works out well for you, i wish i had got my arse into gear and gone back!
Saw Bearsuit on Thursday and they were excellent as always. I love a bit of mental indie pop. The first band on were unexpectedly brilliant as well. Shame about the middle band but 2 out of 3 ain't bad.
Last night I went out with work for the first time in the 2 1/2 years I've worked there. It was surprisingly fun. Maybe I should...

I'm jealous of you going back to College. Sometimes (frequently) I wish I could go back to being edumacated--I had so much fun doing so. The Real World's far too depressing.

Cheap weekends are bloody useful. A good month is a mixture of the two.
Good luck for today.

If you stay up drinking until 6 in the morning, don't go to bed all after that because 6 o'clock is a better time for waking up then it is for going to sleep and then are drinking again by 4 in the afternoon is it one long session or does it count as 2 separate sessions?
All I know is that it bloody well...

One long session. I'm still drunk from last night slightly, I was up until 6am UK time. Slept for four hours. Argh.
You're going to be mentally busy come next week, aren't you?

Yep, once kids get over the early morning "I'm a teenager and I'm in a bad mood," their mouths go into overdrive. Especially the girls. They do this talking at two hundred miles an hour, without breathing and say "OMG" alot. At 8am this morning, I had my daughters friend do the same thing. When she finally stopped, all I could say was "I'll get back to you, I need to rest my head now." Best line of defense with them on the bus, is to talk to them, they clam up so tight you can see them sucking in their cheeks. Mind you, you'll be known as the 'weirdo guy on the bus', but it could be worth it.
Blimey, I'd have a serious hangover after just the bottle of wine, that would last for days. I want to say watch you liver LOL.....yeah, you may cyber slap me.
Oooo....what are you doing at nightschool? Fun or study? Haha.....sorry, I just had an image of you doing flower arranging at night school. Erm......yeah......I'm going.
Take care.

Well ages without an entry but I have been pretty busy, mainly with running a football club.
Sunday both the 1sts and the 2nds had friendlies in different places. This was going to be the acid test of all the work we had put in over the summer. Not only did we need to get 11 players out for both sides but we needed to...

The guitar is definitely more than three years old and there's no way it'll pass an MOT. What you are suggesting, sir, is illegal! It sounds like a right larf but I don't think the battered thing could take the weight of a human being. A cat stuffed into the sound hole conjures an entertaining image, however.
From the last time that Sleater-Kinney ever played in the UK. I still miss them terribly.
It was the most incredible gig - I danced my arse off, saved a cute American girl from being crushed, sweated so much that I didn't actually feel any wetter when I was outside in the rain after and spent the rest of the night in an incredible pub...

I love Regents Park too, especially walking anywhere near the zoo and peering at the creatures but you can't beat it for sheer size and space. Amazing really!

Dangerous is my middle name

So I went from Monday to Sunday without a drink. That is incredibly impressive for me and now I know I could do it again pretty easily if I should want/have to. Tonight I had a drink not because it was the natural thing to do or because it was expected of me but because I like it. It was getting to the point where...

What's Doom Bar? Sorry, I'm lame I know. I need to get out more.
I tend to drink more in the summer, Pimms in particular. Sometimes it's good to give something up just so you can remember how good it is.

I spent 260 on clothes today. Combined with a new coat I got a week or so ago that's over 300 on clothes this month. This is completely unheard of, I never by clothes. Unless it's band t-shirts of course but that's different. Of course me being a rubbish and inexperienced shopper half of the stuff doesn't fit so I have to go back tomorrow...

What kind of clothes though? Is it boring work stuff, shiny work stuff, or shiny not work stuff?

Very little to say at the moment. Life's not dull, it's just ticking along nicely.
Start college in a month and I'm sure that will provide more then enough stress and anxiety so I'm just going to enjoy a nice stress free August for now.

How come I can talk (coherently whilst drunk and incredibly tired) to a girl for nearly on hour on the train but when she gets up at her stop I can't remember to give her my number?
2 hours sleep this morning and then football. I wasn't that bad considering.
