so last night we were locked in the hall by order of the sheriff's department. There was some gun toting maniac running around shooting people. They let us leave, but it was before they apprehended him. Personally I could have waited a minute or two longer for them to actually catch the guy and maybe disarm him, but hey I'm sure they know what they're doing.

Holy hell! That's really bizarre. Why would they let anybody out before the guy was caught (or at least they had a better idea of his whereabouts!) Yikes!

Quick question: are you guys still doing the Loud Music Symposium? (just checking) lemme know if you are. I checked on line and it seemed like it hadn't been going on for several years. Is that right?
