E and I went to see a live taping of the Colbert Report the other night. Our timeline:
2 hours on the Chinatown bus,
1/2 hour trekking across New York
3 hours in line
1 hour sitting in a waiting room which reminded me of nothing so much as jury duty
1 hour in the studio being "warmed up" by a pretty decent standup comedian
33 minutes of Cobert -- which made the rest totally worth it
then
1 hour running back across town and waiting for the return chinatown bus.
2 hours chugging on home.
So festive.
