There is a wistfully eerie feeling being in a place that used to be thriving and is now being taken over by nature. Left to rot with no one to maintain it. To me its beautiful and holds many secretes.
This last weekend me and my Fiancee went to an abandoned plant. I really wanted to pull some happiness from a sad trip. So stopping somewhere i had always wanted to stop was the way to do it.
Lime, OR lime plant was built in 1916 to make plaster. The area began running out of lime deposits so they were mining in other places near by. Just bringing it in on trucks which i am sure got spendy! They eventually got bought out and closed in 1980. They talk about tearing it down all the time but recently it has been a graffiti hot spot so i think that will push the surrounding towns to actually tear it down. As for me i hope not. It is an amazing place!
I love places where you can feel the history. Its almost sad to see something that was so thriving forgotten.
The great thing about the time of day we went was the sun was right in my eyes.. all day... it was........ wonderful..
As you can see Lime is amazing! If you ever get a chance i would highly suggest going there!
Well lovelies i have to get ready for work! But i hope you all are doing good.
