Man was I burnt out last night.
I'd only been getting 5 to 6 hours of sleep this week. At works it's been really hectic.
Basically it went from being where I could goof off and do nothing in particular for days at a time to being on a high profile project and a different manager that was getting on my case.
I figure I have to work my butt off for a while to get up to speed and get on top of things.

Yesterday I woke up about 5:30am after only about 5 hours sleep. The pain from back kept me up and after another hour I couldn't fall asleep again so I just got up early.
I got in to work at 8am and left about 8:30pm. By the end of it I was just numb and exhausted. I really felt the literal definition of burned out where I had no energy or sensitivity to do anything. Watching TV just made me feel stupid. I was too wound up to sleep. I didn't feel like going out.

Anyway, that was then. I don't want just do a bunch of whinging. This morning I got up after over 8 hours sleep feeling nice and rested. I realized that I'm just rushing around too much. Better to calmly focus on doing one thing but doing it completely right and well than rushing around doing everything half-assed and frantically.

What other random thing can I comment on?
Oh I saw "Def Jam poetry night" on HBO. It was pretty cool. It's put on by Russel Simmons, hip hop producer.
I've been to open mic readings a few times and I think I want to start going more often.
I'll have to gather the cajones to even do one myself.

I'm not really sure what it is... I was figuring that it's some sort of art thing? ooo aaa

By the way, I wish I had HBO.
