i almost bought a condo today. very strange. not quite the lifestyle i ever thought i would be entering into of free will. luckily, have been bogged down with financial details and lawyer stuff, and have been given a little time to reconsider. just seems like it might be time to start investing instead of throwing rent away. but at the same time, going so far out on a limb to "own stuff" is repugnant to me. ??

what's so bad about owning btw???
i've been obsessed with the idea of building a prefab home for some time now. i feel the same way as you do about rent, but i'm just not sure if i can really afford what i want to own.
