my, its late. just cocktailed, as usual. the band was pretty good. ron sexsmith was there, and big shots from warner. think they signed the band, but of course i don't remember who the hell they were. we all went to this dive bar after... too much fun for a monday.
anyway, weird thing. my father's best friend died, suddenly, at 43, of a heart attack while on vacation. so, tomorrow, i find myself driving 14 hours, with my parents, with whom i am barely on speaking terms, to a memorial service in a small town in the middle of no where. we will share a hotel room, then drive back the next day. i feel terrible for my father, and the whole experience will, i think, be quite surreal.
imagine suddenly losing a best friend. really makes one appreciate what we have.

they still don't know what's wrong with me, but they took xrays. i find out tomorrow.
worst case scenario is that they shoot a needle full of steroids into my shoulder joint. how perfectly crappy!!
