I can't cope with all the updates so if you ever really want to know what I'm up to then it's all atMy Homepage - leostableford.com

But just to keep y'all up to the minute I received my Edinburgh Fringe pack today and feel the awesome power of the person who is totally blagging it. As I wrote off to enquire about the price...

Thanks for the comment and the link. I downloaded the book, and Ill defenitely look through it. Its funny that you mentioned the teacher thing, cause there is quite a lot too that. Nice site, very readble.
hermes:
You're doing the Fringe? That's *very* brave. Are you taking any sidekicks to film you at it? wink

Finally had a chance to skim through your site. I'm impressed with the layout/design are you using any building tools, or have you coded it from the ground up?

The book project seems pretty ambitious though, but good luck with it! I do plan to do a series of sci-fi novels myself at some point. One thing at a time though *sigh* If you'd ever like a second opinion/sounding board/proofreader type person then you're more than welcome to let me know...

Holy of holies... it's the guy who updates his SG journal even less often than I do!

Good to see you back, Sir. Hope all (or at least some) things are going well.
hermes:
Hmm well if you'd checked some of previous posts, then you'd know that I've already got broadband, and that BT have recently f***ed it up, hence my current anguish and impatience while I wait for it to be fixed mad

Anyways, nice to hear from you dude. How's the writing going? Been busy in that area myself recently just hoping I've got time this month to finish a short story and crank out a sitcom script for two different BBC competitions that are happening... biggrin

NOT DEAD!

Just cracked my novel so my online time is restricted at present. Gotta go with the flow.

I'll be around when I finish.

Peace.
hermes:
Damn I envy you. I keep promising myself that one day I'll stop f***ing around and make time to churn out a couple of books. Free time to chill and write is a very precious thing indeed.

(BTW if you ever need someone to proofread, bounce ideas off etc etc you could do a lot worse than drop me a line)

Things that shouldn't make women think I'm gay

Well, since my last post much interesting conversation has been generated and almost none of it disagrees with what I had to say. This is unsurprising because to disagree with what I had to say you'd have...

Sex - turns out I rule!

Women suck in bed. It's true. Sad. But true. I don't wish to tar all women with the same brush but I'm afraid that I have no evidence to the contrary. I've never been to bed with a...

Hmmm....

Regular listeners to this station will know that I recently discovered what I want. Even more recently I discovered someone I might like to want it with. But there are problems and htey are not your usual common or garden problems. The problems are complex and sizable.

I think everyone's freakin' out some. Which is damn stupid because what I want isn't that big....

Yup, everyone likes to think they know what's best for you, without bothering to take the time to find out what's *really* best for you. You could always get a set of fingers for your ears like in the old Egg advert? smile

Although I like to think I'm a fairly sensitive and considerate guy, sometimes you have to take a stand for your sanity's sake. Besides, if they can't see where you're coming from, then what kind of friends are they anyway? Bollocks to them. if you know what you want, and there's (in theory) no bad karma involved, then don't worry yourself too much about it.

Besides, you'll only be kicking yourself later if you don't do something about it anyway...
thehorseofcourse:
people will always doubt you, its human nature. its hard to see someone jump the fence they have fallen at. That and everybody likes the have the option of "i told you so" evry once in a while.

Try not to mistake scepticism for a lack of trust.

i appreciate my friends scepticism, it makes me think about things more. doesnt necessarily stop me doing it though.

Human behaviour is a chaos pattern.

Despite an extreme sensitive dependence on initial conditions and essential unpredictability it is scalable and there are patterns.

One day my life was bad. Four days later and I am having a good time. It all means nothing. The wheel turns, but I'm smiling now and that's good.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!

Thanx. Feel better now.

Crap weekend meeting people from college most have whom have barely changed since 1995... which is extremely frightening. It was too bloody hot and now I'm online when noone I want to talk to is after having spent the day laid up with some manner of stomach bug. Cabin fever is only the start of it. I'm going to start...

Yup this weather sucks, and it's not getting any better. What we need need is a thunderstorm to lighten the air a bit. Lightning is damn cool too!

I have real trouble myself running into people I used to know from school and college - how the hell can people change so little and be so damn narrow-minded? I mean, when someone's ambition is just to get married and have kids ASAP because that's all they've been training to do, I mean, jeez. I must be one of a handful out of hundreds from my school that bothered to go to university (and who made it to the end). When I meet up I don't want to chat about how many lagers I drank at Tots2000 last Friday. Aaarggh!!! Must. Stop. Rant. Err sorry..

Anyway, I can usually cure cabin fever by watching tv, or dvds or playing computer games or summat. The real bitch about being ill though is that you don't feel like doing any of the stuff you'd normally do if you've got some time to yourself.

Hope things get better with the broken-ness. If you're stuck I can send you some gaffer-tape in the post as a temporary quick-fix? smile

i hear that shit, all the people i knew from uni. are going their seperate ways and forgettign their friends. its their fault, and they'l regret it.

So I finnally worked out what I wanted...

Someone to sit on a sofa with and watch movies.

What was fooling me was that it seems so simple. Yet in practice it is real complicated. I mean you can't do that for a first date, can you? After all you wouldn't just curl up on the sofa with just anybody now would you?

No.

hey fella,

i think you have inadvertadly given me an angle on my present relationship.

me and the lady were all curled up on the sofa the other night, so i was thinkin' we where all starting to get comfortable with each other. then we dont seem to see each other, but maybe with your premise of the whole curled up thing, maybe we do like each other.

man, why cant this shit be more simple, complicated shit gives me headaches.

My dream last night:

1) I was with a man who had been evading the authorities. If they caught him they were going to kill him. One officer in particular was going to torture him before killing him.

We found an insect, a moth, at first we thought it was eating. Then I realised it was regurgitating a cocoon. Then it fired out a clearliquid...

Hello all,

just a quickie *behave* to say hi and that.

Hopefully the four days holiday I am about to have will clear my mind of bad thoughts...

I hope so anyway...
