It's not that I hate being single per say, it's just that I hate trying to pick up women. Or that I'm incapable of it, either way.
So a few buddies drug me out to a house party with plenty of gorgeous single women in an attempt to get me laid after a bad break up at the beginning of this year. A few of the one's I was interested actually approached me first, flirted, and we chatted for awhile. Then as soon as some tool comes up to them and starts grabbing on them, kissing on them, etc they go home with them shortly thereafter. Since when did becoming a douchebag and grabbing a girl you just mets boobs and crouch socially acceptable and a way to pick them up or attract them? I have been out of the loop that damn long? Even if any of those girls approached me at a later date I'd want nothing to do with them as they had zero self respect for themselves.
That aside I did met one pretty awesome chick there with some friends who had a ton of common interests with me and common acquaintances and we seemed to hit it off well....until she brought up her boyfriend who she couldn't get to go out with her tonight. It's like seriously? He wouldn't want to go out with that? So I have a ways to go on judging who's available or not and the last thing I'm going to do is fight some idiot over a chick who will go home with whatever guy gets the most handsy.
I'm not looking for a relationship or anything as I'm horrible at picking those but I'd like some female company every now and then. I just suck at meeting people and won't pretend to be anything I'm not.
Maybe a change of scenery is needed or I need to find a more like minded group of people I have more in common with.
That's my rant for tonight.
