Let's hear it for physical ailments ! Woke up Sunday morning with pain & stiffness in my neck . Took Tylenol all day , put heat on it , rubbed ointment on it . Nothing . By 10 pm it had gotten so bad that I had my SO take me to the ER . Got some good drugs & went to the MD the next morning . Turns out I had something called torticollis . Basically I had a muscle spasm in one side of my neck , which in turn made the other side tight as hell . I mean , I couldn't turn my neck 1 inch to the right without pushing it with my hand , & even that hurt like hell .
So I've been on good drugs for the last couple of days . At first it was kind of cool , but the initial rush of being on muscle relaxers & such is getting old fast . And I haven't been able to drive anywhere as I can't turn to look around . So I also have cabin fever . But , on the plus side , I'm not at work !
