***this is a proud dad moment***
the following is from an article in todays local paper:
Hanover, meanwhile, won nine of the 11 events on the track, including three from junior Marcella C. in the distance and mid-distance races and a sensational comeback in the 400 relay by anchor runner Sarah S.
"I have no idea where that came from," Hanover coach Bahn said of Sarah, who overcame a 20-meter deficit with 100 to go and outleaned Delone's Emily S. at the finish line of the relay.
"That was beautiful. We knew they were going to give us a good run there. We worked our strategy out and put our top girls in because we knew we needed our top girls. When she passed her, I was honestly shocked."
sarah is my daughter and she was hell on wheels yesterday. there is no quit in this girl.
