i went to this special summer camp when i was a young teenager. they always told us that we were the top one-quarter of the 99th percentile. we were the intellectual elite of the southeast portion of the country. i grew up being told i was a young genius. that the world was mine.
but unlike our Cuban friend, i didn't go out in a blaze of glory, my little friend roaring in the night. no, i've sunk into intellectual mediocritya great student, but not much else. the world was mine, and i got distracted. i haven't written anything in months.
i'm going to get back to amazing the world, god damn it, if it fucking kills me.
