So, today I went to the doctor's. I wanted to discuss the possibility of a certain surgery, and the possibility of having it covered by healthcare.
The doctor took my concerns seriously, and it sounds like there is a possibility of having the surgery covered. It depends on what the surgeon says, but it helps that I have another doctor that is willing to write a letter on my behalf.
So, the next step is a referral, which I got. So I'll be meeting with the plastic surgeon in the future, and we'll determine if the surgery is possible at that point. I'm remaining cautiously optimistic.
I'm just hoping it won't take too long for the referral to go through, or for me to get an appointment. I'm excited at the progress being made.
