The last couple of months the kids have been out of school which has been wonderfully exhausting, but there is most certainly an increase of dishes, laundry and the words 'I'm hungry' (thank goodness I like to cook and be in the kitchen). I am incredibly grateful to be able to spend time with them though doing all the fun summer things.
Colorado is an amazing place to enjoy these warm days and stormy afternoons (since this state is crazy and enjoys giving us multiple types of weather in one day). We have had lovely days fishing and hiking, sitting in the backyard grilling, having a drink looking out at Pikes Peak; it makes me so thankful to be a witness to such extraordinary beauty.
Speaking of extraordinary beauty, I'd like to travel back in time for a moment to the shootfest I was lucky enough to be a part of back in April.
It was my morning to shoot my first of two sets with @roz and I was, once again, feeling major butterflies. Surrounded by all of these beautiful and confident women somehow made me feel like being in front of the camera was just so silly....until I reminded myself I am beautiful and confident as well...and also just having fun with one of my most dear friends who never fails to always make me feel pretty and comfortable (I would also love to give a huge shout out to @miss_minnie Minnie for being the most awesome helper-outer. She was there ready to help me with poses, get me a tissue, turn music on, help @roz with whatever she needed...just all-around super supportive and awesome).
Some other issues that faced me this grey skied morning was it was 9 AM, chilly and I was stone sober. At least during my first set I had a couple cocktails in me to help loosen my mood up a little. So, here we are, outside, up against brick walls, metal chairs and a plastic deck that felt as hard and cold as a block of ice. I'm nothing but nervous giggles most of the set, trying to find the balance between sex kitten and goofy, slightly awkward me....I'm pretty sure that will take me some time accompanied by a lot practice. The set really did speak to me though...bright flowers, bright colors, lots of smiles....it really does make me happy. Here is just a sneak preview of my second set Sunshine of your Love, coming out in 2 months and 3 weeks. Yes, the Cream song...because I LOVE everything Eric Clapton has touched. That psychedelic rock genre is one of my absolute favorites. Also, I really have been waiting so long to be where I'm going.
I hope you enjoy the preview and I just want to say thank you for all the love, support and kind words. I love adding more experiences to this adventure that is Suicide Girls and a lot of that is because of the wonderful people I have met on here. You guys are all just so fantastic: )
