i posted this in the tattoo group, but i'm gonna post it here too, just in case any of you might have ideas.
so i live in pennsylvania, and i'm going to san francisco for prom. (yay!!
) while there, i want to get a new tattoo. i know what i want, and at the moment i'm trying to decide precisely which shop i want to go to.
the problem is...i'm here, and they're there. what's the best way to go about a long distance consultation? i can't draw, and don't really know anyone who can draw, so ideally i would like to have whichever artist i decide on draw it for me. is this realistic considering the fact that i'd have to describe it over the phone and i'm not really sure how i'd see the design before i got to my appointment? is there some other, better way to go about doing this?
i do have friends in the area, who could probably make contact with the shop that i choose, but i'm not quite sure how to work that either.
does anybody have any experience with this? recommendations? anything at all?
thanks tons!

hmmm thats tough cause u really should have a face to face concelltation if u want something custom.Perhapes you can find some local artists that meet your standards or someone with in a more reasonable distance.I know some outstanding artist that would be closer for you.
