so i went home yesterday to visit my mom and a few friends and take my mom to see this play that one of my friends was in. the play was wit, or w;t, and it was absofuckinglutely incredible. but... it hit me at lunch, i'm sitting there with my best friend from home and it hits me--fuck. i'm taking my mom to see a show about a woman dying from cancer.
i talk to my friend from home about it, and she says it should be okay because my mom knows what it's about and it's been almost 3 years and yada yada yada.
so i talk to my mom about if for a little bit, and we go to the show. and the show is amazing. the woman with the lead (the woman with cancer) gave one of the most incredible jaw-dropping performances i have ever seen. my mom? not so okay. by the end of the show she's very very upset (which i can understand, so was i) but she was definately worse. she fled the theatre as soon as the show was over...and i just kept thinking....how fucking stupid can i possibly be? i need to think shit out like this better. *sigh*
other than that...doing well.

Well, I am glad the play was good (and to have my question about what it was about answered), but sorry to hear that it affected your mum. I hope she is okay.
