hmm... foood. yummmm...
I went in search of floor pillows today... i found some, but they're all really soft and not very firm. It seems as though the most produced floor pillow is one that allows your bum to sink to the ground. Does that not defeat it's purpose? Are you supposed to sit on a pillow or on the floor for they feel just about the same. Needless to say, I'm still on the ground. oh well.
Honestly there's not much interesting going on. it's a quiet night at home on a saturday. i'm having a buddy set up a blind double date for next weekend. My boyfriend is deficient in the area of the whole "date" thing and going out to have a good time, so it's getting solved without him. Nothing crazy, just some fun and good times. Basic date type stuff. This doesn't mean I care for him less, it means that he's too busy for me. (Yes, I'm alittle sore about it.)
It's weird, when I was in the cult, (yes I was in a cult for abotu a year and a half) I went on dates. more dates than I've gone on since or before. Literally it was the whole gentlemanly thing, the boys would get together (it was always atleast a double) plan up something fun, call us girls and ask us and then call on thrusday (dates were always on satuday) and confirm and then pick us up on the day of. (That was cool. getting ready for a date and then the guy comes and gets you and appricates the effort you put into yourself. note: you were not to dress sleezy. modesty was the word of the day. He was to think of you as his sister, not his potential girlfriend and thus you'd dress and act appropriatly.or get severely reprimanded, or asked to change.) Then we'd go out and have fun. talk about whatever, pay attention to the other, getting to know them and just relax. (it should also be noted that there was a rare occasion when the two of you were alone. someone was always there and it was really just relaxed so it wasn't weird) Also, I as the female would have to worry about nothing from the time he picked me up to the time he brought me home. transportation, dinner, all other expendetures were covered in their entireity You weren't required to touch them, or hold hands and god forbid you open a door. It was your very presence that all the effort was gone through. At the end of the date, which was 11 or so at the latest, they would drove you home, walked you to your door, gave a one armed side hug and said "good night, I had a great time." no expectation of a kiss or anything. You were expected to do a little thank you card type thing within a few days and tell the other girls what a great time you had. (this was to ensure your 'bro' that he got a good recomendation and would have more opportunites to encourage other women)
Anyways, I spent a good period of time learning how to do this and I miss it. I miss having someone to specifically pay attention to me in a date type setting and being treated like a lady. People don't date like that. There's always crazyness and induendos and such going on, if a date even occurs. I guess that's what I miss the most about being in a cult. the dating. how fucked up is that?
oh well, ce la vi.

just curiuos what kind of cult were you in, and how/why did you leave it
