In the next five days, I'm having furniture and about twenty boxes of my grandmother's items arriving at my house. Why she's sending them up here, I have no idea but I'm clearing out a space for them in my room. (It'll mean I'll have a matching set of furniture for the first time since I was eight. I'm not quite sure what I think about that, if I think anything of it at all.) It'll be nice I suppose to have everything match and it's nice to think It's an heirloom and inheritance type situation, but I don't know if my bug collection, turtle shells, bird nests, rocks, and glass heads will fit in with what she's sending up. Then again, i'm the only one who hangs out in here, so I suppose it's not an issue of immense proportions.
My Grandparent's things on the other side arrived last week - and they've been passed for some time now. Among those was my old doll house my granddad built me, a piece which I treasure, and have out in my study. There was also some cookware and plates of his mother's from the turn of the century (last one) which I have put to good use.
Why all this is coming in to my life now, I have no idea, but it's happening.
My Father arrives back in town this week and my Aunt is coming for the weekend.
I've recently been informed of a shop not too far away which carries antique maps, prints, pamphlets and such. They have things like
that's 400 years old
and pieces like

Needless to say, I will be perusing their store in person soon.
Today is cleaning out my room, dusting, homework by the river and class tonite. I swear if life got anymore exciting Id fall over.

I love old shops like that!
maybe that is something about me ~ i have 5 rosaries hanging on one pushpin above my bed. if there were a fire i would grab those, my papu's wallet, the glasses, and the few pictures of my nana & papu & be fine with the loss of the rest. if i lost those i would be disconsolate.
