wow...
the hotwater/coffeemaker thing sounds dirty... like lewd body function sound type dirty.
yum.

~.^

I feel accomplished by today. I think my head finally got outta my ass with how to think about school and if so, then I'm doing great. (We'll see how it goes though. Proven trackrecords seem to hold more merit than freak occurances.)

I've been reading Voltaire's Candide today. Wow. Absoutly freaking wonderful! I've found that the first chapters of the story are familiar to me, though who knows when i read them... The Age of Reason, or Enlightenment or whatever is interesting to me - a good thing as I have two classes dealing with that time period. A complete and total accident for sure. Still, it is nice to look at Locke's writing from the perspective an English major, and then three hours later be going over simliar texts under the microscope of a philisopher. It would be even cooler if I were doing politics as well to examine the text under that hat.
Having the juxtaposition of thought processes reminded me that it all really doesn't matter. Things and throughts happen, they're written about and everyone has something to say about them, all from a different vantage point.

In the end, all writing is about the nature of things more so than the happenings. Outside of the jargon of the field, a pen is a pen, and a cigar is just a cigar and each has certain attributes which cannot be confused.

yea...
I'm going back to my books.
Just checking in.

I have never read Cadide, but am sure that some of the ideas have been beaten to death in other works, in subtle ways. That is why it seems so familiar.
Get back to the books.
