I woke up today thinking it was monday.
i have an appointment with a prostodontist on monday.
My teeth are falling out. Its the stuff nightmares are made of.
So I get up to get ready to go. pulling on clothes, I decide to shower when I get back. I sit down to fill out the paperwork that was sent to me last week and start to cry, paniced that part of what they're going to be talking about is pulling all of them and putting in fakes. (My teeth are a very sore subject with me. I miss being able to eat and there are more reasons than I can count as to how they got in the horrible shape they're in. Really... I just miss being able to eat crunchy bacon and croutons and salad and chips.) I get up to finish getting ready, while the tears are streaming down my cheeks. I'm gathering things up, X-rays, paperwork, my change purse, and I can't find my wallet. I clean my *entire* room, purse, car and call the guy I'm seeing to attempt to find it. I finally found it in a dark coorner of my purse... situation of panic number two averted.
Situation number three comes up as I'm changing wallets, My credit card is missing. This is the thing which will allow me to get my teeth fixed. It's not in anywhre that I've already looked and it's not in my pockets. My appointment is in an hour, I've chosen to put off showering but I NEED this piece of plastic... I look EVERYWHERE to no avial.
Going into the office, I sit down to talk to mom and let her know what's going on. Dad menaders in and says something about todays sunday paper. Sunday paper? My brain reels. I thought today was Monday. No... it's sunday. Grand. A whole bit of pandamonium for nothing.
We then get to talking about tommorow and ALL of the disagreements we've had about fixing these stupid teeth are there again. Last I heard, the agreement was that I was going to go and see what I can get done and fixed and what could wait, and go from there and we'll figure out who exactly pays for what later. The discussion ended this morning with me canceling the appointment and being told that if I want my teeth fixed, I either pay for it myself or go get a job that offers dental insurance and pay for it that way.
I'm also signed up for school in the fall. (I've tried a few times to go to school. Unsuccessful as I've chosen to see more of the country and move as opposed to finishing studies.)
I'm deathy afraid of losing my teeth, particularly since I'm only 24.
I'm afraid that I won't go to school ever due to lack of money
I'm afriad that I'm useless as a person and will fail at everything I do, as I've failed at everything I have done.
I just want to be left alone.
I feel ancient.

By the way, you have not failed at everything. You have made a friend out of me, and a load more on the site. In fact, I think of you as being wonderful, so please don't turn to dust like your profile pic
