The greatest battle I have found is the one against convention. The battle to determine what (and who) is needed and what can be disregarded.
Tonite I spoke with someone who was so starved for intelligence that he screamed in a room full of people and no one heard him. I happened to walk by a few minutes later and witness the mess and chit chat for a while. He realizes what he's missing and doesn't want to leave the cozy home he's made for himself inorder to go find it. Only, he ignores that he knows and therefore is in a coffin of his own making.
For that, I have no sympathy.
