Greenville is quiet and sleepy and attempts to be a big city with all of it's traffic on the freeways at dinner time. I'd already discovered downtown so I meandered to theoutlying areas, getting completely lost and then I found myself again...
Asside from not knowing the roads, the only other trouble I found was a headache... and that's probally from skipping lunch. (dinner is served soon so it'll be fixed.)
On the good side of things, I got an email today from a captain friend of mine who had disappeared a few months back. Apparently he made it through the carribean about 50 miles ahead of wilma (that was a hurricane, just in case you missed the news) And the through the panama canal and around up into mexico. I'm sooo excited to have heard from him. He's on that list of favorites who I'll stop anything to chitchat with. (so are you by the way, mr just got back fromparts unknown. call me.)
Anyways, as an addon at the end of his note he mentioned a possible position on the boat come january...
could be good stuff. I'm waiting for more details, but it's quite possible that I'm taking off for parts unknown soon.

I'm contemplating connecting to skype for the purposes of staying in contact...
it's an internet telephone service. Has anyone used this?
ANd,( geez I'm rambing tonite...) I'm contemplating a back piece... a full set of wings, starting between my shoulder blades. this is my back, what do you think?

When you say interior and deck work, do you mean crew, or do you mean maintenance and refitting? Sail or power?
you have probably figured out by now that getting ink in Greenville, ne SC, is pretty impossible.
not sure if you have an artist in mind, but I have a couple I can recommend within a couple hours of driving.
I just got a new piece on the inside of my arm last week and am in the middle of all the itchy goodness right now.
