Alright,
I'm at a crossroads.
The little boat thing I picked up to make money for a trip that's being planned for the early part of next year is showing the promise of becoming a full career for me if I choose it. There's alot to learn, but it's not difficult material. I need to spend some cash to take a class and get a certification or two but other than that I know the right people to get on good boats and can travel the world. I've gotten a job with a broker for the boat show and can use that to jumpstart this path...
At the same time, I desire a place more secluded than this, where I can see the sky at night, that has seasons and hills and snowflakes I can catch on my tounge. A place that's not overrun with people and industry and concrete, where the air is still clean, the water safe to drink, where the plants abound.
I have the opportunity to be in a place like that. My folks are relocating to the mountains with their work. I'm welcome to come along, help, live near, whatever. We're currently talking about if I'm going to move them or if they're hiring a company to do it.
There's no specific work for me there. It would be to get them there and to get me outta the city.
My delima is that if I stay here then I support myself and travel. I develop my own identity and path in life. (Taking a break from it to go on a trip.)
If I help the folks move I would make the financial base for the trip, but wouldn't have a job/industry/trade/life inspecific to come back to afterwards.
(details for the trip are still up in the air - which is also weighing on my mind.)
Boating isn't my "thing" but I can learn it and it's good money. Being out in the woods and up in the hills where my folks are headed to fits a hellva lot better but I know the money won't be there in the same way - I wonder about being able to support myelf on my own out there with not working twenty million hours a week.
so yea...
my question is "should I stay or should I go now"?
I've found my answer,
it's a combonation of both...
With me ending up in the hills. Sooner than later.
details to follow.
(if I just followed my heart in the first place then I wouln't have to keep rearranging everything. - Sometimes it's what ya gotta do though.)
