If I've learnt anything at all this week its that at least one out of every three people are thieveing, conniving, bitter and egotistical; and at least every person in this society has at least one of those characteristics when they are at their worst. Lets see where I've encountered these typical attributes of the common North American:

1) Thieveing--> some asshole stole my bicycle... my one form of transportation my car if you will is gone!! *tear*
2) Conniving--> The government unnecessarily ripping me off for $600.. according to this government I am below the poverty line yet they still seem to find it exeptable to tax me a ridiculous amount. (although this is not technically illegal its a perfect example of a crime against the common citizen)
3) Bitterness --> The girl that I've been working with the past few days has been nothing but bitter and resentful towards everyone... using the "Ior tone" (you know the donkey from Winnie the Pooh) with everyone she comes into connact with making it almost impossible to have a nice day working with her... I've tried everything to put her in a good mood but finally gave up today seeing as it was next to immpossible to make the chip on her shoulder disappear
And yes I do recongnize that I am being bitter right at this very moment... I suppose this would be my failed North American attribute...
4) Egotistical --> I think that everyone comes into contact with this person... you know the ones who think they are all mighty and holier than thou... my manager for example.. we were in the middle of a huge rush at work and she comes prancing in taking over yelling this way and that making the situation that much more stressful... oh yes whatever shall we do without her grace on our starfucks floors... oh how doomed we would have been without her latte expertise. How she proved herself as she knocked over a pitcher of steamed milk... all bow down before the all mighty Manager.. how gracefully she demands respect

So as you can see on a daily basis we come into contact with all of these brillient characteristics that make our lives that much greater... perhaps we should just give into these attributes embrace them.. become one with them, because as it seems they are here to stay best to find ways to deal with them as apose to finding ways to make them a bigger burden then is really necessary.
