I hope everyone enjoyed their LONG Fourth of July weekend. Surprisingly, my weekend was very good-on Saturday I visited zippyfrong in North Smithfield. We ended up just getting some lunch and a coffee...I also "stole" his pen, but what are friends for? wink Later that same day, I went to my friend Sarah's housewarming party. She is the girl I share a cubbie with when I...

Maybe you just get along better with people that are older than you. There are just certain types of people that we get drawn to and be able to hang out with without complications. I personally can't hang with people my age or older than me unless they can be just as childish as me. Probably why most of my friends are younger than me. I mean look at my two best friends, one is 2 years younger than me and the other is 3 years younger than him. Still, stay positive and try not to rush into things. The person you're looking for is out there somewhere. Could be someone you haven't met yet or could be someone you've already met but haven't looked at in that way. Just be patient. smile

Ok, that just sounded real cheezey... let's hear it for the cliche advice. whatever

I smiled and laughed for the first time in days tonight! (I also made my "out in public on crutches" debut). My sister and I went to see Spider-Man 2 and then out to TGI Friday's for a snack (hold the liquor, please wink). The movie was awesome; you know, Peter Parker reminds me of DJ Lex...really smart, too much to do, not able to...

Awww, you sound like me these days hun. LOL I feel the turmoil of which you speak! smile But I'm sad cuz you never mention me in your journal! Hehe. wink Anyway, I am just overworked, under-played, and ready to just sell everything I own, say goodbye to everyone and move far, far away. LOL

Ugh. Anyway, I work tonight....but I'll call ya Sunday night or Monday. Talk to you soon hu! And remember, at least ONE person cares about you (even is he is 4 hours away in another state)! ;-)

XOXO

It's amazing how all of a sudden I have TOO much time on my hands. Really, if you are complaining about time restraints, break something and half your obligation and/or activities vanish just like that.

So, I have been busy watching movies, in particular Spider-Man, as I am going to see that this weekend. I actually have a date-yeah for once I am saying...

I am sorry you are feeling depressed, I wish I could do something to lift your spirits. I'll be meeting you in a little over a week, we'll see if I can't cheer you up. Here's wishing you a happy long weekend.

"Which one of us will burn until the end" (New Found Glory)

Brian and I had a truly disheartening conversation in which he said that we need to act more like friends (aka, no kissing or hugging hello or goodbye), but of course, sex is different. It's just a lust thing. Just one more relationship that is officially over. I get what he is saying,...

Like whoa! Seeing you on at the same time as me was kind of surreal. I'm not used to it. But yeah working part time right now is good. Why is it that they don't want you to work just because you have a broken foot? Don't you just sit at a desk all day? I know you need to keep your leg elevated and stuff but can't you just pull up a chair or something? tongue

You need to srart wearing a Happy Bunny t-shirt that says BOYS STINK!

To work or not to work? That is the question. Full-time, part-time, TDI? Missing my friends but having enough time to fill out teaching applications and write graduate school essays....

I fucking HATE this cast...and the crutches. See previous journal for details.

Straight-edge all the way.

What is this? I leave town for the weekend and you break your foot. I can't leave you alone for a second. wink

To bad I'm not out that way. You'd still do all the things you wanted to do. I hav no problem being seen in public with a girl on crutches. And if walking around became a hassle, I'd carry you. smile Try not to let it get you down. If you're completely bored and/or bummed out you can IM me. My ID is "Nafta13" on AIM and "clarkekid" on yahoo. The yahoo one is always on when I'm online, and AIM is on every now and then.

Thanks for the happy birthday. kiss

I am so sorry to hear about your weekend. Not a fun way to start off the summer. But yes, sitting and chatting in a calm and comfortable atmosphere sounds nice, I'll have to take you out and play nurse to you. biggrin

So is your employer going to be accomodating while you are broken?

Again, I am sorry to hear about the accident, but prior to the accident, did you at least have a great time? Hope you aren't in any pain.

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times". For me now, it is the latter.

Everything started out just fine on Friday night. I bought a bag of weed from Brian, smoked at Alicia's house, got dressed up sexy, put some little braids in my hair, and we headed downtown to see some kick ass local bands. Mistake #1: not eating...

If it makes you feel any better, my last broken bone was my jaw. Had it wired shut for eight weeks, that was miserable. Come to think of it, I lost like 20 lbs, you wanted diet tips. . . wink

In all seriousness, four weeks will go by faster than you realize.

Oh yeah, you should milk it for all the sympathy you can get. Better make up a really good story though, something like.... you were stepped on by a providence police horse whie they were trying to clear the crowd outside the club after the riot broke out. It'd be even better if you said you started the riot. smile

I know it's been awhile since I last updated. The weekend with DJ Lex was just so much fun that I have been kind of bummed this week. The Reel Big Fish show was cool, spending time with him just talking and flirting, and kissing, was awesome...but I have decided to quit while I am ahead, before I get hurt. Zippyfrong thinks I need to...

Hey, sorry to hear things with Lex must fizzle out, but hey, its easier than your heart getting trodden upon. Glad you had a fun weekend though, I am about to head into mine, which ought to be more fun that I am allowed.

So I checked out the shows on Lupos, and nothing really stood out to me, so if there is a show you would like to see, let me know and I will come on down to RI to see them. Hope you have a great weekend, and good luck with the boys!

You're welcome to join me on any of my trips. Always like dragging my friends with me... makes them more fun. Hey, I'm going to Vancouver at the end of July.wink To soon, eh?

Yeah, I know what you mean about feeling lonely at times. Every now and then I get this feeling that I don't quite feel complete. Sounds like you made a good decision about Brian though. Not so sure about the Lex thing... I'm just kidding, I'm sure you know what you're doing.

Ok, disappointment aside....I do only have 8 hours of work until a three-day weekend.

Possible plans include: hanging out with my sister and her friends at the Harborside (nice bar/restaurant on the water), going to a small party in Mansfield, MA with my friend Lou, going to the Reel Big Fish concert, spending time with Lex (that will be the challenge...but in a good way!),...

My plans consist of a working tomorrow night at the bar with my buddy Tony, where I'll meet tons of girls because of his reality TV celebrity (I love riding the tails of his fame). Then Sunday will be a quiet day. Just been super busy this past week, gotta relax just a wee bit.

Then on Thursday I'll meet you, we'll have to solidify plans a bit more as the time grows nearer. Hope you have a great weekend, with no disappointment and lots of happy moments. wink

UPDATE
No, I didn't have the courage to go to the show...the show was a "no drinking, no smoking, no moshing" type of event. I am such a loser. It makes me sick.
I did finally manage to write Dave a "good luck" email today...Crossing my fingers always that he finds the happiness that he is looking for.

Just wish I could find the happiness...

Alone is a relative term, there's going to be a huge crowd. Besides you'll probably run into one or two acquaintances (sp?)

I thought I heard there was no alcohol at that show???
aaronidiot:
Perhaps that something coming is you .. who knows. Just be careful, I am younger than you, and you know how that can be. biggrin

Alone and drinking ... yeah, that is why I don't go out very often, partly due to the fact that I am extremely shy for the most part, but have an odd way of losing that when I feel at ease. So yes, drinking when alone at a bar or something, I do it quite heavily, and I always regret it. The reason I think for this is, I am better in intimate situations, where there are maybe just 4 or 5 people, because then you can actually have conversations and feel substance in the situation. Just my opinion on the matter.

Sorry you are depressed and dissapointed, wish there was something I could do, but figure it this way, the fun will start in a week when I actually meet you. We can go to a bar and not be alone, how's that sound? By the way, if you liked the oatmeal cookie shot, be forewarned, I am a pro with alchohol, I might have to teach you a few new drinks.
