An early birthday present to myself:


It's kick ass. I most likely won't be joining a band for a long while, if at all. Seeing as how I'm just starting out for the most part and all my friends who are musicians are already established in this area, but whatever, I wanted it for fun anyway.

I just found out not 10 minutes ago that the move begins this Monday!!!
^ edited to say that the move was pushed back til Friday the 18th, but I'm still pretty excited smile

This means I won't be around here for a while starting tomorrow morning (too lazy to pack now).

So, did the Zep download okay? What do you think of it? I've got a reasonably respectable collection of live Zep (though not as full as those of some more hardcore Ledheads I've known), and that's (at least right now) my favourite "How Many More Times?" I've heard.

I have the show page, Jones, Plant and Jason Bonham did in December '07 in honour of Ahmet Ertegun's passing, and it's remarkably smoking; the main thing omitted I'd have liked to hear (not counting "Rover" and such, that were NEVER concert staples for them - although Heart performed "The Rover" regularly and sounded VERY Zeppish) that I'd have wanted to see was indeed "HMMT?." It's one of my favourites. They did a truly inspired "Jesus Gonna Make Up My Dyin' Bed" (I can't bring myself to call it by the wrong title [n My Time Of Dyin'"] they used on the album - which, interestingly, they got from the mislabel on the Bob Dylan album from which they got the song).

The show rocked, and in light of Rubber Plant's Robert Plant's decreased vocal range, the songs were adjusted accordingly and the energy was quite charged.

Happy birthday again, and let me know if you liked that HMMT?.
