Alright,
Family stuff..done, today we had our last dinner with my mom's side. You may find this hard to believe but it was a BLAST!! They are all so fun, all we do is have this awesome dinner and drink and enjoy everyone's company. We have a ball together. My step aunt is one of my best friends, we've been friends since forever literally elementarty school and her mom ended up marrying my grandad a couple years ago.
But because I was...well a little tipsy we'll say when we were grabbing stuff to come home I forgot the charger for my camera batteries so I couldn't shoot the set I wanted to tonight.
Yesturday...was F-ed!!!! At work we were so understaffed, Silver Stick which is the HUGE HUGE HUGE hockey tournament that hosted in the town I work in was reschedualed and started boxing day. So I had a table of 40 people...another table of 40 people and another table of 40 people then a full restaurant ontop of that. I was there for 12 hours straight which isn't crazy but it's INSANE for a server. Plus some stupid man totally yelled at me, swore at me and everything. (I almost cried) It's people like that, that I find it SOOOOO freakin hard to bite my tongue with, seirously I know that one day I'm going to lose it. I wanted to get right up in his face and tell him about my day...the 30 screaming kids that I just hauled out of there so he could have a seat and get a chance to eat....actually what I should do is put this GIANT sign up on the door that you HAVE to read before you get seated...
Your server is NOT responsible for how long your food takes.
Your server is NOT responsible for any problems with your food since they didn't cook it for you.
Your server is NOT responisble for your lack of ability to read the menu if you order something you don't like. If you wanted to modify it you should has asked upon ordering.
Your server is NOT responsible for the wait for your table.
Your server is NOT responisble for the family next to you with screaming kids...trust us it bother us too plus we have to pick up all the cracker crumbs those lovely children drop all over the floor.
Your server is NOT responisble for late comers to your table if you order before them PLAN to get your food before them.
If you are in a big party....there are rules:
*Once you take a seat and order from that seat STAY THERE or else your bill WILL NOT be separated at the end of the evening. We do things like all servers do by a pivot system.
*Realize that because the server is taking usually about 20 some odd orders of drinks, apps and dinners they wont remember what you personally ordered so when other runners come to the table REMEMBER WHAT YOU HAD.
Your server IS responisble for your safety, if they are cutting you off it's for a reason. Do not argue with them, do not yell or make a scene there are VERY big boys in the kitchen that will more than gladly pick your ass up and show you outside.
Really all our job is, is to tell the kitchen what you want, carry it out and get you a refill....none of which condones the follow:
Yelling
Angry Comments
Swearing
Mean glares
Grabbing our asses (do we fuckin look like strippers to you?)
Making sexual comments
If you have ANY problem what so ever that doesn't involve MY part of your service in the establishment please feel free to ask me POLITELY to speak with a manager they will be happy to address any concern you might have.

dammit, almost an opportunity of a new set...but does that mean we shall be getting a new one from ya soon? im hoping, and anticipating already!
