Well...moving sucks ass! I haven't even been accepted to the University of Ottawa yet and I'm already going through all my old stuff to see what I need to buy. That's how bad I want to go. If I don't get in or can't get the funds together I'm going to be completely heartbroken.
Plus I read over the letter I got in the mail from them and I have to send them all this extra stuff....highschool transcript, art school transcript, letter of intent, art resume and regular resume...most of which is not a problem however I'm not in the good books with my last school. White Mountain Academy of the Arts
. BOOO to them first of all. They totally screwed my credit before I even had any. They promised me a full scholarship which I didn't end up getting and told all the students that they would be eligable for OSAP which is out government student loan thinger which we weren't.
I'm not saying I didn't have good experiences there I met Anik and Nikki who are some of the greatest girls in the world. We had SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much fun it was INSANE.
However the whole lieing about scholarships as well as other things wasn't really necessary and left me feeling really cheated. Also when I went back for my second year (the year I would graduate) they informed us AFTER we had already moved back that they would be changing the program and teaching us totally different stuff!! Which made it hardly worth my while to be there. So, I withdrew...I went to Calgary for a week to visit my then bf Ryan and spent my last two weeks there in the dark room doing my first major photo project that turned out amazing. Signed all the paper work and left. Moved home got jobs and whatever started paying back my loans.
A couple months later they sent me all this blank paper work that they wanted me to sign and send back to them. Apparently they lost all my withdrawl forms and wanted me to sign new ones. Also in the book of papers there was form that said I agreed to still pay tuition and stuido fees for the year which would run me over $6000 which I had no signed before leaving at all. I'd never seen this form. So I threw them out only later to hear from a lawyers office about paying them back the money. I sent them a fax being nice and saying yes that's fine but I'll need copies of all the paperwork I signed before I left knowing full well they didn't have it.
Now that I've applied to school again I need my official transcripts which I don't have. I've emailed, faxed and left them messages but haven't heard anything back so again...I will probably be screwed over. In the mean time I'm sending everything else with copies of my report card to the university hoping that will be ok. If not...I will be sad.
Sorry that was so super long but I so needed to get all that off my chest.
