Yes, it's long but read it.

Ok so, for the people who did look at my last set you should already know what "To Write Love On Her Arms" is.

If you don't check out the website- read the story, watch the video, support the cause and buy a t-shirt! Check when they'll be on tour with amazing bands in your area and go to show!

RESCUE is possibleSTOP the bleedingLOVE is the movement

Jamie has also written a new blog on myspace and I urge you to check that out as well.

In it he talks a little about the experiences that he's had while being on The Warped Tour. To Write Love On Your Arms has a booth a most shows in the US (as far as I know) and have been speaking before some bands starts whenever they can.

Everywhere he's been (Jamie) people have confided in him, told him stories about their lives and the lives of others.

So I'm here to ask you when the last time you had a REAL HONEST conversation with someone was. When you opened up yourself and actually talked truthfully about your life and everything in it? I have felt for so long that nearly all of my conversations with people are fake. Not completely fake but it's almost like my outer layer (the me that everyone in the world sees) is having a totally pointless bullshit conversation with someone else's outer layer.

Who is the weather? Where did you get your shoes? Have you seen Transformers yet?

And while those conversations are all fine and good - don't you ever feel like you should be telling YOUR story or asking someone else about theirs? How many people in your life actually know you? Know all of you? How many people do you share your secrets with?

I'm here to say that I am as guilty as everyone else and that I'm one person who really don't feel like it should be this way. We shouldn't all be just going through the motions of having friendships and relationships while we grin and bare it. We should not feel like we have to hide all the pain we feel now or the pain we've felt before. Because whether you like it or not that pain has played a HUGE part in who have become.

It's a hard thing to come to terms with, showing everyone your insides. Showing them where your tears come from and want makes your heart ache but I promise you that once you let it out you'll be able to live with it better.

Addicts always say that their fight is never over. No matter what their addiction was whether it was alcohol or heroin, no matter if they have been sober for 10 years - there are going to be days where they feel that itch. I believe the same thing can be said for cutters. No matter how long you have gone there are going to be times where you will break down, you'll be forced to drop everything that you hold inside of you and you want all that pain to go away. And there are going to be times where you sit in your bathroom with your favorite knife and contemplate. I believe that once that lives in you, it lives in you forever and the only thing you can do is silence it. It'll still be there, but it wont be screaming.

It's also proven that addicts can go in and out of rehab time and times again but what's going to make it WORK is telling your story. Because then, you're not in it by yourself, you have all these other people who know about your pain as well and they help carry it for you while you heal. And you do the same for them. You realize that there are other people in the world that feel EXACTLY the same way you do.

(Now I am not an addict, but I know too many of them. So if I misrepresented them in any way I apologizethat's just my experience.)

Alright, this is getting long so I'm just going to end it with this.

"A lot of people carry this stuff, for weeks and months and years. And it's so important that we process it well, that we talk about it. The lie is that it's true, and that it's just ours to swallow in silence... but that's wrong. We're loved. And we need each other. Need to remind each other. We need honest conversations. We need people who know us. Sometimes we just need help. And that's okay."

Obviously this is something that has touched my life in a huge way. Not this organization though I think they are truly amazing but the actual issue. For the past year I have been reading, watching, thinking about so many things. I've been wanting to help those people who feel like they really have no one in the world but honestly, I've been too weak within myself.

However, right now the suicide hotline in Montreal is in need of volunteers. And I'm going to apply.

I already know that it may be too big of a task for me. I am well aware that I still may be too weak to help. But I've come to the decision that - if that is the case then it's ok. I might as well try instead of making excuses and what have you.

But honestly - in my opinion you don't have to volunteer at a helpline, you don't have to be apart of To Write Love On Her Arms or the Take Action tour or anything else. Reach out!!! Reach out to a friend, a family member, a co-worker. Keep in mind that sometimes you have to give a secret to get a secret. Don't be scared to show yourself.

Our scars are beautiful.

I don't know if I can ever be that open to anyone ever again. That last person I ever did that to was my ex and she used every bit of it against me in spite.

My mask is pretty much permanently stitched onto my face. blackeyed

It's been entirely too long since I've actually sat down and talked to someone. I'm about to do it when we get home from Texas though and I hope it helps. I'm in much need of it right now.
