UPDATE

I understand that I'm not American....(??) I'm not sure why that was ever a question.

This has DIRECT effect on me because even though I work in CANADA the majority of our clients are AMERICAN.

No Clients = No Money = No Jobs - thus affecting me VERY much.

Today I got word that Bush to about ready to sign a law that bans Internet Gambling. If this happens then there goes my fucking job! What the fuck is up with this guy is he trying to ruin everyone's lives? Be that unwanted father figure to every adult in north america!?!? First he declairs a war on porn and now he's moving to do away with gambling???

This is mainly bad because -

*I live in Montreal - don't speak french and can't really afford to take a pay cut.
*I'm on leave right now for medical reasons -I'm not going to have the time to get better if I don't get disability.

Oh and yeah that was me who just posted a blog about bills and credit cards. BAH!

So do you have some proof of this, an article, a website link, anything? Or is this just something you've heard through the grapevine? Because I've heard nothing of the sort, and believe me, if such a proposed federal law were on the table it'd be pretty big news.

It will be a hard law to enforce .. the problem I see is some companies are really agressive about "Not being gambling sites" .. like Party Poker.net vs. .com ..

Also betus.com is constantly on the sportstalk here .. .I do agree there are muc more pressing issues for the US then this though ...
