The Dashboard and City and Color show was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Dallas is such a "cool geek" for real. I love the little stories people tell when you're at a show and they have to stop for tuning. He grew a beard, and he had cookies and blue gatorade caught in it before the show....so random but real.
He played my favorite song "Hello, I'm in Delaware".....that was the whole reason I even went to this show.
He has a neck tattoo now, and had just gotten a leg tattoo while in Montreal, he said it hurt a bunch during the show.
He did the show with his cousin playing Piano and his friend Casey. The song Casey's song off of Sometimes was something he stole off his friends and tuned differently to make it his.
He chose to name is "band" City and Color after his name Dallas (city) Green (color). The record is called "Sometimes" because he's only able to work on his solo stuff sometimes because for all of you who don't know he's also in a Canadian band called Alexisonfire which is pretty amazing. He's from St.Cathrines, Ontario.
I have less to say about Dashboard even though he put on a really good show. This was the FIRST show on his new tour, his new disc Dusk and Summer came out today!
While playing older songs he would stop singing completely and let the crowd take over.
For the better part of last year he did a college tour in the states. After the shows he would meet kids and stuff and was overwhelmed by how much his music meant to them. So on this tour he decided to cover a song by another artist that had really touched his life. Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead.
One song before the end of the show some people in the audience started fighting. (Who fights at a fuckin Dashboard concert, it's not like there was a pit or anything.) He stopped the song and was like "security don't just stand there break them up!"
psyko514 and I had the pleasure of standing infront of the only girl in the audience who repeatedly yelled "I LOVE YOU" while he was playing. Though there were a whole bunch of shrieking emo girls there.
Anyways....all in all a really good show, I'm glad I went. If you have a chance to see him on his tour I would totally take up the oppertunity, especially if you're really into him. Because I'm not a HUGE fan, I went to see City and Color more than Dashboard but still thought it was an awesome show.

i kept my eyes open for you and matt. i was off to the right of the stage back from the crowd a bit. i was afraid that bad 14 year old emo girl haircuts were contagious.
