attention everyone, i've officially gotten skinny enough that the army wants me. i go to medical screening on the 18th, have a few interviews after that, and then basic training for a glorious 10 weeks of suck. but the good news is after basic i can dick around and do nothing again for a while while i wait for a spot in officer candidate school. thats right, i'll be lieutenant dan. so i expect to hear a few forest gump jokes when i get out.
this weekend i have big plans...well not really. me and a buddy are gonna get together and work on his truck. which is always fun. we're converting his all wheel drive system to a 4 wheel drive system which means replacing the front axle, drive train, transfer case, and suspension. it'll be a bitch to do, but i'm sure we can get it done by sun night (barring any more rain). but the swaps are direct bolt ons. the only real problem i could foresee would be busting through some of the rust down there. but he's soaking the entire underside in p b blaster so i think we'll be ok.
also i picked up some rubberized clear undercoating to do my wheel wells in. its going to be getting snowy out soon so this is probably the last chance i'll have to prevent rust this year. i suggest the rest of you chumps do the same. oh, and change your oil to a heavier weight too.
EDIT:
i apparently also fixed the internet!!!?
it was running super slow. and i tried restarting my computer. no dice. then i tried restarting my router and modem...still no dice.
so i ran an internet diagnosis and it didnt tell me there was any kind of problem or anything...but then it said it was fixed. so i can only assume that the problem was with the interwebz and my actions clearly fixed it. so you should all be thanking me for your continued use of the internet at acceptable speeds.
you're welcome
